SAP Team At Madeira Islands

Madeira Islands see the SAP team of the Extreme sailing competition gather a phenomenal win.


There was a nail biting finish in the double point’s race. This was Act 3 of Extreme Sailing Series which was held in Madeira Islands. The Danish flagged team won this time. The other competitors like Alinghi fought well and took the second place from Oman Air. They were unable to beat the SAP team though. As a result the Swiss team finished in the second position. The Oman Air finished in the third position as a result.

The SAP team admitted that the weather conditions were shifty that made it stressful of the first two days. As a result, the team was unsure of how they would finish; they were initially at the first mark and then they landed at the bottom but the last race saw them emerge victorious. Even though the competition was a stressful one for those sailing, it was stressful for the ones who watched as well. Continue reading

2017 RYA Club Of The Year Finalists Reveled

The 2017 RYA Club of the Year awards will be given away at the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show.


The overall winner of the prestigious 2017 RYA Club of the Year will be announced when the event takes place at Alexandra Palace in London on 4th March 2017. The RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show is believed to be bigger and better this year and the award presentation during the event is the icing on top of the cake.

There have been five clubs names that have been shortlisted and announced by the organizers. The five finalists were recognized for their contributions and achievements made across five different types of categories.

  • For Innovation: Heart of England Offshore Cruising Association.
  • For Facility Development: Whitefriars Sailing Club.
  • For Increasing Participation: Ullswater Yacht Club.
  • For Communication: Rudyard Lake Sailing Club.
  • For Inclusivity: Tees and Hartlepool Yacht Club.

Adelasia To Be Part Of EFG Sailing

EFG Sailing Arabia – The Tour 2017 edition has got a new entry.


In the 2017 edition of game Adelasia Di Torres, team from Sardinia, Italy will also take part. The event will start from February and will end in March. The venue of the event is Muscat in Oman.

The team has been created by a keen sailor Renato Azara; he is a Costa based sailor. Before, creating the team, Azara was the managing director of a world renowned agency for yacht management Sardinia Yacht Services. After creating the squad, Azara participated in many events and came out as winner. First with team Adelasia Di Torres’, Azara won the (FTR) Formenton Trophy Regatta in the division of racing. In (RMSR) Rolex Middle Sea Race, the team took classic and secured third place in ORC group overall. Continue reading
