Hosted by London Business School and the Yacht Club of Greece, this is a high profile, international sailing event that brings together top business men and women from across the world – alumni and students of the world’s best business schools
Division A will race one design Platu 25 racing boats. Maximum 6 people on board. The boats will be moored at Mikrolimano. Contact point will be the Secretariat of the Piraeus Sailing Club, at the end of Mikrolimano marina. Participation fee per division A boat is 2400 euros. This includes three rooms (2 people per room) at hotel in walking distance from Mikrolimano for 3 nights, April 27, 28 & 29.
Division B will race Bavaria 42ft. Maximum 8 people on board. The boats will be moored at Kalamaki marina. Checking in and pick up from Kiriacoulis office. Bed linen, blankets and towels provided. Fuel consumption and end cleaning fee of euros 25 are not included in the price. Participation fee per division B boat is 3200 euros.
Programme:
Friday April 27th
Arrive in Athens.
Boats available as of the morning for teams to practice. Boat check-in at both Kalamaki and Mikrolimano locations. Evening free for teams
Saturday April 28th
08:00-08:30am: Skippers briefing at the marina level of ‘Istioploikos’ restaurant
08:30-09:30: Buffet breakfast at the marina level of ‘Istioploikos’ restaurant for all sailors. Introduction of teams, professional photo shooting, team interviews with media.
10:30am first signal of races, 3-4 races expected depending on wind conditions.
20:00 Marina party immediately upon the return of boats from the races (open fire grills for meats and vegetables, beer, music…)
transfer to ‘Kallithea bay’ for night swimming and partying, drink coupons will be provided.
Sunday April 29th
08:00-09:00am: breakfast at restaurant on the marina
10:30 am first signal of races
18:00 departure for central Athens historic location for the formal award ceremony, followed by dinner and dancing.
Please note that the dress code is formal. Black tie preferred.
Monday April 30th
Return home.
